The Inner State: Dignified Ease Versus Empty Pride

Confucius said: “The superior man is at ease without arrogance; the mean man is arrogant without ease.”

The superior man has a dignified ease without pride. The mean man has pride without a dignified ease.

君子泰而不骄,小人骄而不泰。
