The Qualities Near to Benevolence: Firmness, Endurance, Simplicity, Modesty

Confucius said: “Firmness, endurance, simplicity, and modesty are near to benevolence.”

The firm, the enduring, the simple, and the modest are near to virtue.

刚毅、木讷,近仁。
