A Gauge of Self-Cultivation: “Poor Without Complaint is Hard; Rich Without Arrogance is Easy”

Confucius said: “To be poor without complaint is difficult; to be rich without arrogance is easier.”

To be poor without murmuring is difficult. To be rich without being proud is easy.

贫而无怨难,富而无骄易。
