The Humble Scholar: Three Years of Learning Without Claiming Arrival

Confucius praised the rare student who, after three years of study, still does not presume to have attained goodness.

Having learned for three years without coming to be good – such a man is not easy to find.

三年学,不至于谷,不易得也。
