What Is True Integrity? Confucius and the Case of the Borrowed Vinegar​

Confucius said: Who calls Wei Sheng Gao upright? He borrowed vinegar from a neighbor to give to another.

Who says of Wei Sheng Gao that he is upright? One begged some vinegar of him, and he begged it of a neighbor and gave it to the man.

孰谓微生高直?或乞醯焉,乞诸其邻而与之。
