The Good Man’s Path: Neither Following Tracks, Nor Entering the Inner Chamber

Confucius said of the good man: “He does not follow in others’ tracks, but neither does he enter the sage’s inner chamber.”

He does not tread in the footsteps of others, but moreover, he does not enter the chamber of the sage.

不践迹,亦不入于室。
